Who we are

Bart's actually started in the early 1900's in Tonawanda, New York as a diner founded by Spiro Zefferys and his brother John, both immigrants from Greece. The diner — then called Zefferys' Luncheonette — had over 60 happy and successful years. When they announced that their diner was closing, people lined up for a block and a half for a last meal.

Fast forward to 2018 when Spiro's granddaughter Anna--who grew up eating his and her grandmother's incredible burgers, chocolate fudge, caramel sauce, peanut brittle, homemade bread and garden fresh meals--decided to revive the old business with a fresh spin.

Bart's Better Foods aims to make eating well easier with fresh, healthy and flavorful spins on old time favorites like toppings for ice cream, burger patties and ice cream. Everything we make is gum free, corn syrup free, preservative free, soy free, dairy free, palm free, meat free and egg free. All of our ‘meat’ blends are also gluten and grain free.

Inspired by the Irish/English heritage of Anna’s Mom, Anna named the company Bart’s Better Foods.
